Our Story

In December 2020, a long-time vision began to take form… create an upholstery brand that checked off all the boxes, while being solely RUN, DESIGNED, and LED, by WOMEN. Not just any women though, some of the most successful fabric and upholstery merchandisers, upholstery buyers, and furniture marketing professionals in the industry that recognized the need for an upholstery line that would encompass everything today’s discerning shopper is looking for.

Our Brand

In 2023, one of the brands founders, Carla Mata, bought out her partners and merged JP Home Furnishings, proudly, under the Whitewood Industries umbrella of brands which include Custom Contract Furnishings, John Thomas Furniture, Whitewood Ready-to-Finish, and International Concepts. In doing so, the brand gained stability and ensured it would have the tools and backing to continue to grow in a time when the climate of furniture manufacturing was faulty. Carla continues to run manufacturing of both the residential and contract upholstery divisions, as well as manage product development and merchandising.
